![]() ![]() Working in Reaper 2.44 under Windows XP Pro SP3: Probably had something to do with that excess code Justin got rid of since 2.026. ![]() Nobody should be stuck with an old version, so I think it's well worth doing that test when you get a chance! If you try that low-precision mode and still have problems, it'll show it's caused by something else. while still having a compatibility mode for older gear, but it would obviously be nice to try to get the new mode working for you. I'm sure the aim is to get the new mode working for as many people as possible. If that resolves things then at least you'll be able to keep updated and it'll help Cockos to know the situation for compatibility. Now you may have done this already, but it would be very useful to grab the very latest version and go to Preferences>MIDI Devices then right-click on the inputs/outputs and set them to the "low precision" mode (effectively the old mode). What actually happens - do you get a crash, or notes hanging, or not playing or something else? so worth trying with the very latest in case it's now working better. Newer versions right up to 2.031 (current at time of posting) have tweaks to that new mode. Sounds like either your gear, or MIDI interface are not happy with it. As I'm sure you saw there was a new "high-precision" midi mode added in 2.026. Hi there SonicBoom - sorry to hear it's all stopped working for you. ![]()
